Pages crashed, and now when I try to reopen the document it says, "Document can't be opened"  Have I lost the work I've done? Is it lost forever? How can I recover all that work?

iPad, iOS 5.1

I just had this happen today.  I was working on a document on my iPad, Pages crashed, and now I can't open ANY of my documents!  I get the "Document can't be opened" error on every document on my iPad AND on my iPhone!  All of the documents have disappeared from iCloud as well.

This definitely should not be happening...  The real question is, what use is iCloud if it doesn't keep my documents secure???  I would have been doing regular backups to my computer like I used to if I knew that iCloud could fail so easily.

I lost a lot of valuable data...

I have the same problem.......not good, the lack of a save option on the ipad always made me feel uncomfortable, now I know why. These problems do not seem like one-off's given this conversation.

Do these problems make Pages on Ipad unusable?
