Hi there!!

Is there any option to create groups right from the contacts app rather than to create them by iCloud using the desktop computer?

Thanks in  advance!!

You cannot do it using the native Contacts app, but you can with the help of a third party app from the App Store such as this one.

I have put something common to a group of contacts into one of the fields, such as COMPANY NAME or TITLE.  In mail, I can search on that word and all the contacts with that word will show up.

BUT... I cannot figure how to get all the found names into the To: line of the message.

    Anyone have any ideas?

The easiest way is to go to icloud.com, then click on the Contacts icon. Once your contact book opens up you can select the red book mark that has two people on it. (If you hover your mouse over the red book mark it should say “Show Groups”. Now your groups page should be open on the left page, on the bottom right of the left page there should be a + to add a group. Create whatever group you would like. Now, make sure that the All Contacts group is selected (you should be able to see all of you contacts on the right side of the book) Simply drag the contact that you want into the group that you want. Done!
