And I have my opinion. And Yes, Apple has become one of the biggest companies on the planet and so many more people have been buying them. Maybe you could suggest to them to downgrade the company? Your days of using one as a status symbol are over, especially with the iPad being one of the most purchased and 'must have' items on the planet.

Times change my friend. Some people will have problems, most won't.

    Pete

Oh here it is… You're such a modern age philosopher. Or a Guru?

You're welcome! It's always a pleasure to quote such pearls of wisdom, or pearls before swine if you'd rather.

Either cases, I don't think that's what really matters.

What matters is that you're the only one here claiming a 7 hours battery life on your laptop with Lion, while us "swine" are still struggling to get 5. Even after clean installs, SMC resets and so on.

So what's the secret of your success? Perhaps bragging around a bunch of lies and then accuse people who are spoiling 'em of being trolls?

Oh I'm sorry I forgot to mention your menthor Csound1 who claims to have deploied several Lion installs on its several laptops withouth experiencing any battery drain. He told us that he has built up the "perfect" Lion install, which seems that doesn't move an inch from what he has setup. Probably they just stay off, that is why their system never changes and their batteries are lasting so long.

Do you actually read or spellcheck what you write? What is a menthor and how come so many others here lately are reporting a sudden improvement in battery life. Seems a matter in your case of a poor workman always blames........ etc.

Anyhow since this is the only thread you rant in, I also am out of it like the others.

    Your friend

How many other languages do you speak beside just your native one?

I'm not blaming, you're the one not able to give a solution to this issue. Where are all these guys reporting an improvment in their battery life? There are just a couple of them who have actually removed some daemons/agents/services many others havent ever installed on their systems but are still experiencing battery drain issue.

I guess you leave cause you cannot provide any solution to the issue. No points to gather here right?

It's not gonna be such a bad loss.

    Bye.

What about you? Are you one of those many who just says things instead of doing them?

    Happy unsubscribe, bye again.

    Ohhhhh here comes Perry Mason.

So you have changed occupation lately? No chances we can actually have one of your so smarty-precious  Lion customized install version that will not drain a battery on a new laptop?

It would have gave you lots of points…

Only the Original Poster (something you are not, nor have ever been, just a gatecrasher and troll of other user's threads) can award points to answers that have either helped them out (2 maximum) or to the person they consider have solved their problem. It was in The Term Of Use along with all the other terms you are blatently breaking.

Points are not the reason people come here to help others. But your 5 points in 6 years have clearly come from both your rudeness and ignorance and extreme lack of help (ie. confusion) within these threads.

So please do us a favour.

Oh for god's sake, people. What is the matter with all of you? This is not what I want to wake up to in my inbox in the morning, and it's not doing anyone any good.

If I had to give troll points, I'd give them all to Pete for coming here and rubbing everyone else's noses in how great his battery life is and how the problem must be in everyone else's heads because it doesn't really exist. Why do you even post in this thread, Pete, if you don't have a problem? Come watch my battery (and the meter) for a while and tell me that everything's fine, pal. Pete himself chastised someone else for doing exactly the same thing just a few days ago but appears not to possess a sense of irony. But nobody's coming down on him for trolling, even though that sure is how I would define it. I can practically see his smug expression every time he posts, and it is just. Not. Helpful.

I just want my **** battery to work the way it's advertised. I don't think that's asking too much. I really don't. And any conversation that gets off that topic is not helpful. Silly me, wanting to find a solution with a bunch of guys who'd rather cut each other up or inflate their egos by insisting that everything's fine with THEIR machines. ::eyeroll:: Thanks heaps.

Thank you for explaining how points works. This will really help out me a lot to get back a decent battery life on my MBPro after having installed Lion on it.

Weren't you supposed to unsubscribe from this thread? Or are you still considering it with the rest of your other personalities?

(Assuming your ego hasn't moved to the next step which is the ominipotence delirium thus you're now using the "maiestatis pluralis" as first person pronoun).

Who mentioned points over battery life?? Oh you did, that's right.

Anyhow, if you read the relevant posts here (skip your own) then you will find a distinct pattern of Machine Specific issues as I mentioned months back, back I think it was lost in your flying cows and cheese. This thread dies out and then seems to be revived by a only a couple of people. Guess who. Have you actually looked anywhere else for a solution or do you simply rely on one outdated thread in a Troubleshooting forum?

    Goodnight

    Pete
