Hey everyone - Thanks for bearing with me and helping me on this.

I have a short  film TRT: 00:12:20:12 and I want to put it on DVD.  Shot in HD DVCP100 720p30 from my HVX200, edited in FCP7.0.3 and using Compressor 3.5.3. What is the best workflow to get onto DVD for the best settings to make the footage just looks amazing. thanks

Use Constant Bitrate (CBR) and crank the bitrate up to 7.3 - 7.5 MB/s. Motion Estimation: Best. Turn on Frame Controls and set everything to Better except for the Resize Filter; set that to Best.

But .... do some testing. Many people are not happy with Compressor's scaling so you might want to do separate encodes, one for scale (to ProRes SD) and one for MPEG-2 conversion.

If you need Hollywood quality encoding you might want to look at CinemaCraft .... but that is $$$.

You might also add compression markers in fcp in areas with complex detail and alot of movement.
