safari app kept crashing so i used all the resets except for erase all data and settings and it still didnt work. not thinking i tried it. now it erased all my apps including the built in apps the only one left is newstand how do i get back my built in app???

    - The built-in apps can't be deleted but some can be hidden by Restrictions. Go to Settings>General>Restrictions and check.

    - Reset the iPod. Nothing is lost

    Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    - Use the Spotligh search and try to find them.

    - Reset screen layout: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Screen layout.

    - Restore the iPod via iTunes.

    Swipe to the right or left and you'll find them on another page of Apps.

    planb77, that is not the problem. The dots show two pages. The first page is the Spotlight search and the second screen is the one you see.

     

    I would connect the iP{o to your computer and rextore to factory defaults/new iPod.
