Title says it all really. Concerned that when I buy a new comp (which may be within the next year) I'll have to buy Logic Pro 9.

Thanks for your help.

You should be able to download it from the Mac App Store again, generally purchases from there support installation on multiple machines handled by your user account.

    Hello Jorge,

If I remember well, Apple software can be installed on 3 computers.

If you originally purchased Logic Pro 9 from the App Store, then according to the App Store Agreement/License you can install it on any number of Computers you own (or have exclusive use of) simply by going to the App Store application, select the Purchased tab and download/install Logic Pro from there.

Note: You must sign into the App store using the original Apple ID account information that you used to purchase Logic Pro 9 in the first place... to be able to redownload Logic Pro on your new computer for free.

If you originally purchased Logic Pro as part of a physical Boxed set (Logic Studio for example ) then your license agreement allows you to install Logic on two different computers (One Desktop and One Laptop) but you may only run Logic Pro on one computer at any one time. You will also need your original Serial numbers for the original version of Logic Pro you bought plus any upgrade serial numbers (say for the Boxed upgrade set from Logic 8 to Logic 9) in order to install Logic Pro on a new computer.

Note: You will not be able to download the full version of Logic Pro 9 from the App store if you originally bought the Boxed set version.. If you try to do so you will have to pay for Logic Pro again in order to suceed. However...Once you have installed Logic Pro 9 from the DVDs you can then use the App Store/Update feature to update Logic Pro 9 to the latest version for free as normal..
