Q: Anyone else lose their timecode reader ability after updating to 10.0.4?

Just updated FCPX with the latest update and now our timecode reader doesn't work.  This is a serious problem.  The speed gained from this program being 64 bit doesn't come close to making up for all the headaches...

What do you mean by timecode reader? The Dashboard? There is no timecode reader effect in FCP.

    Yes,

Won't pick up clip timecode nor will the offset stay set. Checked efffect in Motion but with a place holder there is no timecode to see if it works in Motion.

There is no timecode reader effect in FCP. There is a timecode generator. Is this a third party effect?

No its not a 3rd party effect, unless you consider Motion to be a 3rd party App.  The reader was created in Motion and now the new update rendered it useless.  Does Apple not see the value in using a timecode reader?  Now I know why the program is not great for professional editors...they don't have professional editors creating it...

As Fischead1 said thi is an effect created in Motion to be used in FCP. I set mine up with a text field to paste in the Camera Orginal Name and Bin of the shot and the TimeCode Generator which had read the clip's source timecode in FCP 10.0.03 but it no longer does in 10.0.04.

I understand some may fine this an antiquated method of transfering data about a file, but then I some times need to do it for antiquated folks.
