Q: Print workflow to app in VMFusion

I want to build a Print workflow that converts a doc to PDF then attaches the PDF to a new mail message in Windows Outlook running on VM Fusion. Possible?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

    Tricky, at best.

Like thier names suggest, AppleScript and AppleEvents, which are the foundations of Automator, are distinctly Apple-based technologies. There's no support for them in Windows.

About your only option is to use UI scripting, where AppleScript emultates keyboard and mouse actions, but that's going to be a nightmare to configure for a moving target like this (e.g. the file is going to change on each run).

However, I do question why you feel you need to do it this way. Why use Outlook to send the email - why not use a Mac-based email program which would be scriptable and could be integrated into your workflow.
