Hi, Mr. Texas Mac Man!
I have an iMac OS X version 10.5.8 that I am trying to run a kids computer program on - The Oregon Trail 5th Edition. To run it claims that I need a font, New York 18. I have hunted and tried all the things that I have found online except for the wonderful answer that you gave in this archived discussion/post: https://discussions.apple.com/message/6685988#6685988 In it you suggested emailing you because you had the font New York. The person said this answer solved her troubles!
I am hoping that you will be able to help me, too! I do not, however, know how to email you as your page here does not have an email address or a link to click to send!
Any help is appreciated!

NEVER MIND!!! After I got to somewhere near page 8 of google searching... I FOUND it!!!
But, for anyone else hunting for a place to download the elusive New York font, go to http://www.ufonts.com/fonts/new-york.html. I did download and try The Oregon Trail 5th Edition and it worked. I didn't play - but it started teh game and it didn't give me "you don't ahve new york font 18 errors!!
Woo Hoo to being persistant through too many pages of goooooooogle!

No, they don't. Apple preloads a recovery partition on the internal drive instead; in case the drive is replaced, the computer will download a new one from Apple's servers.
