u merge them in the Keywords HUD.

To merge two different keywords you first need to move one of them in the hierarchie to another group, then rename it to the new name, and then back to the group of the keyword you want to merge it with.

Lets say you have a keyword group "aminals" with sub categories "birds" and "predators"; also two kinds of birds: sparrow and hawk. And two kinds of predators: "lion" and "tiger".

Now you want to merge your "lions" and "tigers" and name them "cat".

    • In the Keywords HUD rename the lion to cat by clicking on the name and changing it.
    • Drag the tiger up one level below the "animals" and rename it also to "cat"
    • Drag the new "cat" from animals back to "predators". Now you will be warned that there already is a keyword "cat" and asked if you want to merge the two keywords. Confirm.

Looks a bit complicate, but it us simpler if you actually do it. The up and down in the hierarchie is necessary, because you cannot rename a keyword to an existing name in the same group.
