Macs are very finicky about RAM.
Even when the technical specs appear to be identical, some brands simply do not work reliably and may cause frequent memory Kernel Panics.

Be certain that you have guaranteed return privileges if the RAM does not work in your computer.

No, the Core Duo model 1,1 has a hardware limit of 2gb.
