Okay, so also just realized that everything else did not work fine - the Nike+ thing didn't record properly (even though it said it would at the time...
So two problems. Recording my workout with Nike+ and playing movies.

So I managed to figure out how to get the Nike+ stuff working, so that is all syncing good.
But I still can't get the movies to play.
I have an iPhone 4, with iOS 5.1
The machines at my gym are very new, there were only just bought. I've tried the elliptical machine, treadmill and bike. None of them will play movies from my iPhone. I can hear the sound from the movie, but there is no picture. Is there maybe a setting on my iPhone that I have to change or something?

i do have the same problem... since the IOS 5.1 !
Yes before 5.1 it was working, i have an Iphone 4S and i could launch every movie i wanted on ellpitic, treadmill, whatever the equipment as long as there was an apple plug :-)
now... since i've updated the IOS 5.1, the video is not working anymore... i even tryed to reconvert my movies to H264, not working !
but the audio is still working good... but not the video anymore.

Marco, well I'm glad someone else has the same problem! I had the iOS 5.1 update before I joined my gym so wasn't aware that that could be the problem!
In that case, does anyone know how to fix this? Is there some setting I can change or something like that?

Hi, I plugged my iTouch into the equipment today, and like you, I could hear the audio of the video but no picture. I am using IOS 5.1 too and would be interested in hearing from anyone who has solved this issue.

Sarah could you run through how you get the Nike+ to work. The equipment says it is recoding my workout to my Touch but after that nothing. Cannot find any files on the touch and nothing happens when I connect to itunes. Am I missing something like an App perhaps ?
Sorry to be so thick but not techno minded.

I am replying some time later after some tests...
since the IOS Update 5.1 and also the latest one, i've noticed that my Iphone Videos were not working anymore on "Matrix" and "Cybex" Elliptics
But... it's still Working on "Precor" Elliptics 750 !
So i guess there might be a relation with the "firmware" version inside the machine, which i think is never updated by the gym owner... most of the users are only listening to their audios on the machines, and i think we're only a very very very... small percentage of people watching our own videos. So that's no major problem for a gym owner... but... hey ! you can always try to ask him/her "could you update the firmware on your machines or ask the machine supplier to do it ? because apple videos are not working anymore"
Also in answer to Nickaa, i experienced the same thing everytime... connecting my Iphone and at every end of workout sessions, your training is over and your data is recorded... yeah... sure...where ? lol
I've noticed the Nike+ App on my Iphone, but inside even after creating an account... not much more... nothing in fact lol

Have you tried going to settings > app settings > Nike +? On mine it asks do I want to
Sync my workouts.
Has anyone had a problem with the work out data being incorrect? The technogym equipment tells me I've ran like 8k, but when I sync to Nike it says more like 1.2 which is ridiculous.

I had the same difficulty, so I switched the phone off and then I switched it on again, and then everything works correctly. As far as I know you can see just videos from ITunes

I'm Giulia from the Technogym Web Department!
Concerning the iPhone/iPod synchronization, the way each iPhone/iPod model lets the user see the workout recorded on the cardio machines is very different from model to model.
For example the iPod 5G and 6G models show you the whole workout list.
If you select one workout, the iPod will show you the workout summary (speed, calories, distance...).
Moreover, if you bring the iPod 5G in a horizontal position, the iPod 5G will show you the workout graph (usually speed over time).
The iPod 3G and 4G models don’t show anything at all. There is no way to understand if there are workouts saved on them. You have to connect the iPod to iTunes to download the recorded workouts in the Nike+ web site.
The iPhones 3GS and 4G are able to show you the workout recorded just through the NIKE+ kit (SPEED SENSOR to hold in Nike shoes and sold by Nike itself). There is no feedback about the workouts recorded on cardio machines. You can't find a list of workouts anywhere. You have to connect the iPhone to iTunes to download the recorded workouts to the Nike+ web site (remember to select the "nikeplus.com" option to automatically send the recorded workout to Nike+ web site).
If you plug your iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes, you will find on the top-right corner the "Nike + iPod" button. If you click on it, you will find out there how many workout are saved on the iPhone.
At your disposal for any further information.
