Q: I've been using Sal's Teachers Helpers scripts for a couple of years

Unfortunately about 50% of them fail in Lion.

Has anyone updated them for Lion?

it looks like those are hosted on macosxautomation's website. have you contacted them asking about any updates? They would be the most knowledgable i would think. At least they would know the originator posibly and be able to pass on the issue, asking for an updated set.
