Q: I'm trying to import MacGourmet to my mac.  Keep getting a message "file not recognized".  I went to Paprika app that I just installed and after exporting MacG, I then went to Paprika and tried to import.  What am I doing wrong?

That is to say, I'm trying to import MacGourmet recipes to my Paprika application.  Sorry about the confusion.

IMac, Mac OS X (10.5.3)

According to their website <http://www.paprikaapp.com/>, Paprika is capable of importing recipes from other programs including MacGourmet.  Checkout their support page, <Support Page> and see if that helps.  Otherwise you will need to contact them to clarify how to do the import.

It might be necessary to run the Macintosh version of Paprika to do the conversion.  Also see if MacGourmet has an export option.
