Yes, that article directed me to the article where I posted this question, titled "Using and troubleshooting Back to my Mac with your iCloud account on OS X Lion", which can be found here:

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4907

If you had read it before posting your answer you would have seen the section I was referring to, which instructs the hopeful Back to my Mac user as follows: (emphasis mine)

Use OS X Help for information about how to set up and use Back to My Mac:

    1. From the Finder, click the Help menu.
    2. When the Help Center appears, type "Use Back to My Mac" in the search window.
    3. Choose the Help article titled "Use Back to My Mac."
    4. Click "Use Back to My Mac with iCloud" to see steps on how to use Back to my Mac with your computers using OS X Lion 10.7.2 or later.

When I follow those instructions, I find that there is no help article titled "Use Back to My Mac" available from the Finder's Help menu under OS 10.7.3. I'm sorry if I didn't make this sufficiently clear in my original post.

    Welcome to the Apple community.

Unfortunately, I didn't realise realise that. However, all you need to do to set up Back to My Mac is enable it in system preferences > iCloud, using Back to My Mac is reasonably straightforward, however if you have any questions about doing so, please ask.
