I let a friend borrow my ipod touch. I forgot to restore it but fortunately it came back to me the exact way I gave it to him. Is it possible that he backed it up, restored it, used his settings and restored it back to mine before he gave it back? I'm concerned he might have my iTunes account information giving him access to use my balance.

Did it have a screen-lock passcode set? If yet then he can't make a backup becouse when you connect a password protected iPod to a computer for the first time iTunes will ask you to enter the ipasscode before iTunes can access the iPod.

"If an iOS device is protected with a passcode, iTunes prompts you to enter the passcode when you connect to your computer. Once you successfully enter the passcode, iTunes will recognize that device as authorized and you will not need your passcode to back up or sync.:

    Above from:

    iTunes: About iOS backups

If no passcode he still would not have Apple ID password.
