So, if I understand it ...... you had a cracked screen but the iPad was powering up normally, no other problems known at that time . . . and then you did a home repair, replacing the screen and digitizer and all of that ... and now it won't power up?

I think you have two options at home, two outside of the home:

    1. At home, go through the whole process again and see if you can figure out why this is happening and see if you get a different outcome
    2. At home, just qive it a few whacks and see if that shakes things back into shape (yes, I'm serious, as long as you aren't going to do #1 you may as well do this).
    3. Outside the home, you can give it to someone else to repair, at some cost TBA.
    4. Outside the home, you should still qualify for Apple's Out of Warranty service arrangements, which will get you a replacement iPad at roughly half the cost of a new one, the last time I checked.

Absent any of those choices, I think you have a very trendy looking cheese plate there.

I checked see if it would power up before i sealed it. i tried to reconnected everything again, afterchecking the power button wiring for damage.  will a damaged home button keep it from powering up

Extremely doubtful they would accept it (especially after they open it up and see it is has been opened/repaired by user)

    you have 2 options

option1. hold both home button and power button until you see apple logo (about 6-8 seconds)

option 2. open ipad again and check the flex cable that comes from the power button any damage to this wire will stop the device turning on.

    try option one first.

another thing you can do is plug it in to computer and see if it is recognised by itunes.
