Hello everyone. Hoping someone can help me out, I don't know too much about computers, software stuff, etc.

I got a Macbook Pro about a week ago. I have tried using youtube on safari, but for most videos, a message appears saying that the video is currently unavailable. I'm using OS X 10.7.3 and running Safari 5.1.5, I do not have any kind of ad-blockers or anything to my knowledge; I would only have what came with it. I have also tried the "Run in 32-bit" trick, but that hasn't helped anything. If you can help, please do so. It would be much appreciated.

    Hi..

Most YouTube content requires the Flash plugin and on occasion needs troubleshooting.

    Quit Safari.

Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Storage tab. Click: Delete All

Now uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new >  Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS

    Launch Safari.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache

    Now try a video.

BTW... if you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.

Keep in mind, it's best to never reinstall the Flash plugin from any site but Adobe. Othewise you may invite malware on the hard drive.

Congrats on your new Mac !!

Well, funny thing. I tried getting to flash player via system preferences, but it turns out I didn't have it installed in the first place. Haha, oops. Regardless, thank you!!!

So were you able to install Flash?

You can do that from this link >   Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
