Hi,

Somehow, when I inserted my sd card, my mbp does not read/mount it. I used to do this before. I also tried reading the sd card through my camera but the USB is being read/mounted at all. Any idea what could be wrong or how to fix this? I've also resetted the pram but that did not help. Does anyone think that a SMC reset would fix this?

Thanks!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

No harm will come if you reset the SMC.

When you said "I also tried reading the SD card through my camera but the USB is being  read/mounted at all." you omitted a 'not'?

Have you used this card before and have you tried other cards?

You might dust off your original installation disk and run an Apple Hardware test and see if that comes up with any anomalies.

    Ciao.
