May 1, 2012 10:28 AM in response to TD_BEby BDAqua,Hello, does it not boot from the Install Disc, or Reset Password doesn't work?
Do you have Firmware password protection in Mac OS X ...
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1352
It would block usage of all the startup keys, like C, N, T, D, CMD+s, CMD+Option+p+r, CMD +v, Option, and Shift, as well as booting from anything but the Hard Drive.

May 1, 2012 11:37 PM in response to BDAquaby TD_BE,Hello BDAqua
Thank you for your reply.
Firmware is off (I think, I can't check this because I can't access my LaCie HD through firewire), reset password still doesn't work. When I try to reset password, I can only reset system root administrator.
How can block usage of all startup keys? and then what ?

It'll boot like a newly setup Mac, but all your stuff should still be there once filling out the stuff.

May 2, 2012 2:40 AM in response to TD_BEby BDAqua,If all the above fails, then it appears to be time for an Archive & Install, which gives you a new OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space...
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107120
Just be sure to select Preserve Users & Settings.
