I have an apple ID that I use in iTunes store, app store and others, but I can't use this ID in iChat. In the apple website say that I need to create a mac.com account. Can I create this account with the same email of my apple ID without problems?

    Hi,

    Apple IDs

    Those "From" Apple that end @mac.com and @me.com are also valid AIM Names.

    Any @mac.com name you have created at any point will work (forever and a day) in any version of iChat or Messages Beta with out issue.

    This can be Trial accounts you set up or a paid for but lapsed or in some cased joined with a MobileMe issued @me.com

    You cannot get a New MobileMe issued @me.com name.

    You can create a new iCloud Issued @me.com name but this will only work in Lion or Above with iChat 6 or Messages Beta.

    @mac.com registrations are here.

    You do need a separate email from any other Apple ID you have.

    Keep the password to 16 characters or less (AIM Server limit)

    I am sure you can find iCloud.

    This can be created from an Existing Apple ID/Email

    Keep the password to 16 characters or less (Again).

    The @mac.com name will not be a separate email but an iCloud one will.

    Please, if posting Logs, do not post any Log info after the line "Binary Images for iChat"
