I have plenty of space and I have turned on the fill free space box that allows itunes to use all the free space available however it is not syncing all my music.

If you have checked "Sync only checked songs and videos" on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings then make sure you have checked all the songs in your library (unchecked songs won't sync).  Also, your computer must be authorized for all Apple ID(s) used to purchase music in the Purchased folder or they won't sync to your phone either.  Then make sure you have checked Sync your entire music library on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings and sync.

I have done all of that.  And all songs are checked and ready to go but will not.  Only 3.5 GB will sync.

Confirm that there are no exclaimation points next to any of the songs (which indicates that iTunes can no longer find them on your computer).  If it still won't sync, then I would try unchecking Sync Music on the Music tab and syncing (which will remove all of your music), followed by re-checking and syncing again to see if it all transfers this time.  I would also try unchecking the "fill free space" option since you've selected to sync your entire library anyway (just to eliminate that as a possible cause).
