Q: My apple ipod 3rd generation just stopped and I have no battery icon. Does this mean I must have the battery replaced or what?
My Ipod Nano just quit working in the middle of my using it. There is no battery icon of any kind. Does this just mean I need to have a new battery installed and if so, where?

Take the iPod Nano to an Apple store or an AASP. Whichever is more convenient for you. Only they can tell you what is wrong with it after they examine same.
