I have two connected audio clips that I want to edit at the same time.  I want to delete the same portions of each clip out at the same time, leaving a blank slug in their place.  I need to do this many times, so, to save time, I need to find the best way to do it.

If it was just one clip, I would use the Range tool, select each portion I wish to delete and replace with a gap, and hit the key on my keyboard that lets me Replace with Gap (the Delete key on my keyboard).

The problem is that I need the edits in the two clips to line up perfectly, and I can't find a way to get the range selection tool to apply to both of the connected clips at the same time.  Is there a way to do that?

So far, the best way I've figured out to do it is to, with snapping on, put the Play Head where I want the cuts to be and use the Blade tool to make the cut individually in each clip, go back and select all the portions I want to Replace with Gaps, and press delete.  Is this the best way to do this?  Something tells me there must be a better way.
