Q: Set up Spaces

I followed step 1 (Apple menu-System preferences) but didn't see any "View" in step 2.  What should I do?

    What you have been reading was only relevant to Apple OSX 10.5 and 10.6.  It appears that you are running 10.7 which no longer contains Spaces nor Expose as seperate features. They have been combined into the one feature, along with Dashboard, into Mission Control.

    To add a new desktop, enter Mission Control and move your cursor to the top right of the screen.  A "tab" will slide out with a + sign on it.  Click this to add a new desktop.  It might be on the top left depending on the location of your dock.
