Hi,

I took my Macbook Pro in to a reutable computer shop to upgrade the RAM from 4GB to 8GB.  However, they were unable to get the machine to accept 2x4GB memory sticks. The macbook would accept 2GB in one slot and 4GB in the other.  In  principle the machine should be upgradeable to 8GB RAM.  Has anyone else had this problem?  The software is up to date and the shop was using Kingston memory sticks.

Is there a way round this? Does it need to go back to an Apple store?

Thanks.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
