Apr 12, 2012 7:19 AM in response to bengebengeby Chris Hewson,Honestly I had this issue and tried every solution on this page... Nothing worked for me, although I have resolved the issue many of you will have no use of this post. All I can say is don't waste a week of your life tapping retry, PLEASE CHECK AVAILABLE MEMORY ON YOUR IPOD! Common sense I know, but if I'm stupid enough then I'm sure this will be helpful for others.

Apr 12, 2012 1:57 PM in response to Chris Hewsonby BlueHairedGirl,That may have been the issue with my iPod. The tap-to-pause probably doesn't work if the memory's the issue.
Something else I tried that worked: I repurchased the song. iTunes brought up the "You already purchased this" popup, and when I went back into Downloads it downloaded successfully.

May 2, 2012 12:45 AM in response to bengebengeby dany.gagnon.ca,To get rid of the download error, go to the download page and find the small down-pointing arrow icon next to the "download error. Tap to retry." text. Put your finger on the down-pointing arrow icon and flick (quick short swipe) to the left. The down-pointing arrow icon will be replaced with a "delete" button. Tap the delete button. Then confirm the delete in the modal popup window.

May 3, 2012 7:04 AM in response to Blessedladby maclab73,Download an app called iExplorer, this will allow you to got inside ios on your iPhone, and tyou will easily find the download list pending, and just delete the items off the list.....only takes a few minutes....Apple care wont tell you because its not there app and they dont like you going inside you phone....so they rather you just suffer than have it fixed.

May 3, 2012 7:18 AM in response to maclab73by Blessedlad,I agree with you, Apple doesn't encourage our research. I had downloaded iExplorer but when I started diving into the folders I was not able to recognize or identify any file name, they were contained lot of numbers and weird characters, maybe I that was because I didn't chose the right place to download the app

Aug 29, 2012 7:33 AM in response to dany.gagnon.caby snmatex,Danny, thanks. I'm very disappointed in Apple's customer support -- I could not get this answer out of them.
Also - I've had to ask for refunds on 3 downloads already.
1. the Breaking Bad series that would not completely download. It finally did after 14 hrs. I asked for the download at 12 hrs and it took 2 days to get a response.
2. The Milepost 2012 Book on Alaska, which is sold as an App. This thing took hours to download then it would lock up. Apple's respone was that this "unusual." Of course, I pointed out that other had the same issue -- read the reviews of the app. Why present a book as an app? It's a freaking BOOK.
I'm not impressed with Apple.
