Unfortunately my company is distributing their scheduling via iCal on iCloud. Only problem, which was really never a problem for me before, is that I am a proud owner of zero apple products. I give this company credit on marketing in that they make it well known that their products and services are very well integrated with one another. But come on enough is enough, is there a reason why your services ONLY work with YOUR products?? They have been catering to an ever increasing population of dumbwitted and lazy users who don't know enough about technology enough to do their own work. Their model is to design products and services that nearly do ALL THE WORK FOR YOU. It's nice that their products are so well integrated with one another, but their aspirations of having their products work seemlessly went way overboard once when I realized that after having bought a pair of klipsch ear buds/headset once that were 'iPod compatible', the MICROPHONE didn't even work when plugged in to my Droid. Are you serious?? They found a way to render the microphone useless unless being used with an apple product. I GET IT! ALL OF YOUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ARE COMPATIBLE! THERE IS NO NEED TO EXCLUDE INTEGRATION WITH OTHER PRODUCTS AND SERVICES!! If I want or (unfortunately) need to use one of your products or services I shouldn't have to join into a seemingly cult like following just to be able to utilize one aspect of your technology. Google has a calendar, and guess what, it is accessible through iCloud. But does one of the biggest companies on the planet allow access to their calendar or any other of their overrated services via Google or any other platform out there? Sure, just get an iCloud account. Of course you can't do that without purchasing one of their overrated products.
Am I missing something here??
