I just swiped my computer clean of all old data and updated it with all new software. So when I plugged in my iPhone and tried to delete some songs off of my phone from my computer, it wouldn't let me touch it.
I remember clicking somewhere saying that I could convert it to the iTunes on my new interface, but I cannot, for the life of me, remember what I clicked!
Can I get directed on how to make the new iTunes library recognizable by my iPhone?

iPhone 4, iOS 5.1

Restore the iTunes media and library from the backup of the computer.

iDevices are not and have never been backup devices.

Attempts to sync to a new library (exactly what you are attempting to do) will cause all content to be wiped from the device.
