We see this behavior in our environment running Exchange 2007 and organizing resources using equipment mailboxes with calendar settings configured to autoprocess all incoming events. Using iPhone 4 and iOS 5.1.
Create/Alter/Cancel entry with invited autoprocessing resource using Outlook 2007/2010/OWA : ok!
Create entry with invited autoprocessing resource using iPhone : ok
Alter/Cancel entry with invited autoprocessing resource previously created with iPhone using iPhone : ok
Alter/Cancel entry with invited autoprocessing resource previously created with iPhone using Outlook 2007/2010/OWA : Faulty! Entry in resource calendar never gets removed by Exchange autoprocessing. If canceled the resource is still occupied even though entry is removed from organizers calendar, if entry is altered the original entry is still kept in the resource calendar.
Does anyone have experience of the same behavior?
Why doesen't the iPhone created entrys work transparently and seamlessly with Outlook/OWA when it comes to invitations of autoprocessing equipment mailboxes?
What is the remedy?
Thankful for any light shed on the issue. Happy to provide more info.
