Just don't wear them and drive in Florida.  A friend of mine was ticketed the other day for wearing headphones while driving.  Now....you can text and hold a cell phone while driving all you in Florida.  That makes a lot of sense, right?

I would never text while I'm driving.  I need both hands to tie my shoes!

I need both hand to text (and could use a third). Driving would just get in the way.

I can understand that.  You probably wear loafers.

It's interesting that each generation has their own issues and there isn't really that much difference among them.  Despite our jokes, I'm certainly not defending careless driving.  However, when I was young (no Internet, no computers, even automatic transmissions were a rarity), drunken driving was socially acceptable!  A common joke was "You've got to drive; you're too drunk to sing!" but it wasn't that much of a joke.

I've been rear-ended twice in the last 3 years by a texting driver.  One of them hit my brand new Mercedes and put a crease in the bumper and was stunned when I said I was calling their insurance company to have my new car's bumper repaired.   She started yelling at me and cursing, which really didn't go over well, when she didn't notice a policeman standing behind her

I have tried and tested each method.

    1. Ensured the headphone is rightly plugged in all in the jack.

    2. Switched off all the equalizer settings so that I get the most natural sound.

Please refer this article and you will know what I am talking about.

    Oops!

Actually, her activity prior to the accident is probably academic.  To the best of my knowledge, in every state, she is responsible simply because she rear-ended you.  I think that, by definition, someone is "careless" in such an occurrence.

I read the article in the link you provided, but it has not been my experience.  I just bought a new iPod Nano this week.  The sound on it, is not any different from my iPad or iPhone.  All three sound exactly the same to me.  MP3 by design is compressed.  No MP3 player will match the sound quality of a high quality home stereo or higher quality CD, but the sound on all three of my devices is more than acceptable to me.

If you feel the sound on your iPad is not acceptable, make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your Apple Store.  If they find there is an issue with your device, they will replace it.

I responded at the beginning of this discussion about poor sound quality on New IPad vs. excellent, almost unbelievable sound on my iPad 2.  I tried one replacement and speaker was identical.  I'm enjoying the New iPad , but still disappointed in the sound and so I'm considering trying the Jawbone Jambox......does anyone have any experience with it??

I think that the problem with your suggestion is that so much of this is subjective.  I can accept the possibility that some persons can detect a quality difference while the vast majority of users cannot.  That's unfortunate but not unreasonable with a compact multi-purpose box.  It's also unfortunate for the purists that Apple sells to the masses, i.e., those of us that can't tell the difference.

I'm a photographic purist and consequently I have never even considered using a camera in a cell phone or an iPad or an iPod, etc.  I use real cameras.

I'm with you on the camera point as you and I discussed previously.  I'm waiting for the new D7200 to come later this year.  I'll sell my D5100 to help pay for it.  Did you see they just announced the D3200 with a 24 megapixel sensor?  The sensors are getting in the medium format range on even APS sized cameras.  I remember when it was simply amazing to see a DSLR with a 6 Megapixel sensor.

And yes, I agree with you on the subjective nature of the quality of sound.......I just don't hear a difference between my 3 devices and I have a pretty well trained ear as my degree is in music, but that doesn't mean other's can't hear things differently.

    It's louder, works well.

    My friend has one.

Yeah, it sounds good but I'm getting too old to keep trying to stay abreast of the technology curve.
