Q: Why won't my iHome play songs from my iPod Touch?

My iPod has been working on these speakers for a couple months now. They stopped working yesterday, But they were working earlier that day. Every time I plug them into the dock, the volume bar disappears. It literally disappears. It would play the music, but no sounds would come out of the speaker. All is working fine too, the alarms and all that and its not on mute either. When they aren't plugged into the speakers they work perfectly fine, it plays music and also through headphones, its only the speakers that won't let me play music. I've also tried plugging in several of my friend's iPod and they were all able to play music through the speakers. I have no idea what wrong with them.

PLEAAAAAASE HELP!!! please, i beg you.

I think so, but I updated it a couple of weeks ago, almost a month. And my iPod still worked on my speakers after I updated it.

This just started on Friday, at school. It was working perfectly fine during break time, but when I plugged it in at lunch it wouldn't play any music and the volume bar would always disapper once it was plugged in and it would come back up once I unplugged it. I've tried plugging in my friend's iPod touch and it worked perfectly fine with the speakers.

    Try the standard fixes:

    - Reset. Nothing is lost

Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    - Restore from backup

    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

Also look at the dock connector on the iPod. Look for abnormalities like bend contacts, broken plastic pieces, foreign material.

I have already tried all of those several times and still nothing. And I've checked the iPod dock, everything seems about right. I even tried blowing in it like frikin Nintendo64 games lol

I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store and bring the dock too.
