You're missing the point.. and that is that the iPad1 and iPad2, held the SAME way at the SAME distance from the SAME router all outperform the iPad3.

If you are in the same room as your router, they all appear to work the same.. it is how the iPad3 handles lower SNR.  THAT IS THE POINT.

Apple doesn't monitor or reply in these forums. Have you seen any Apple posts in this thread or any other? The only presence of Apple are the moderators who administer the forums and police abuse. Abuse is generally reported to the moderators by users.

There are several avenues for reporting bugs to Applle. One of these is the link http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

If you are having problems contact Apple support. You aren't likely to get any help in this thread.

    Razdad,

I've tried six iPads, all LTE 64GB both Verizon and ATT, and they all have the same issue (death grip)..

The fact that Apple doesn't post here doesn't at all mean that Apple personnel are not monitoring these forums. They aren't that stupid. In fact it's totally in keeping with Apple secrecy policies that they would monitor communications by Apple product users and never reveal it.

There is no way that Apple people aren't checking out what their users are saying. Not a chance.

They'll just never tell. And they don't want any public discussion/complaints/arguments directly with them.

If you haven't noticed, Apple swears by privacy. Their's, that is.

You are mistaken if you think that Apple technical people (the ones that could fix problems) are wasting their time searching through this forum looking at anonymous posts (many of which could just be FUD) when they have several channels to get direct, non-anonymous, detailed problem reports.

No one is really interested in anonymous rants which contain no technical details - details which could be used to isolate a problem (if one exists).

"You're missing the point.. and that is that the iPad1 and iPad2, held the SAME way at the SAME distance from the SAME router all outperform the iPad3."

If that's your point with your iPad report it to Apple through the channel I posted. This will have a much bigger effect than anonymous posts in this thread.

I've done that - SIX TIMES.  Ive had an issue open with Senior Apple Technical Support in Cupertino since March 23. So far, their brilliant (and only) response is that..." all devices are susceptible to how they are held.." truely brilliant Dr. Watson.. it is a handheld device after all...

JimHdk - I asked you this before, since you seem to have a "perfect iPad3" how about sharing the week of mfg and plant it was made in.. or do you even have a new iPad??

When i read this thread, it seems like you - JimHdk is the one who are bashing the thread. I looks like Yellowtail714 just writes his problem. Maybe you should be less hostile and actually read what people are writing. I´m sure if they are writing here on this thread or other threads, they feel they have a problem.

I´m reading this thread because i have a problem with wifi connection.

Please do not comment if you don´t have a recommandation for a solution. Who cares about you working in computer network for 35 years.

    Trungttr,

Don't fall prey to the "if I'm having a problem everyone else must be having it too" trap.

The problem you describe in your other post could be caused by an iPad problem or a problem with your router. No one can say unless you provide information on the make, model, version, and firmware level of your router and how you have it configured.

I have done no bashing. My posts merely state facts. This thread is quite likely to become as useless as the equivalent thread on the iPad 2 (which didn't accomplish much). See https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2780293

One of the reasons why is because the Ipad3 over heats, its packed with so much it doesn't know what to do, one of the thing u can do is take it into apple, and they can help

    I have the same problem!

iPad 3 4g 32gig white. I have tested my iPad with a "Speedport W920V" AND an "Apple Time Machine". BOTH Wifinetworks work perfectly with my Sony Vaio, my Macbook Pro, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S but NOT with my "new iPad".

I called apple and ordered an "apple care" for my iPad. Now i have a new iPad3 and my old one. Both don't work...

I guess i'll have to call apple again and get a third one... probably having the same problem again .

Maybe i'll return the ipad and buy some adroidcrap even though i don't want to! but the ipad is useless right now.

I actually searched this forum to see if anybody else had the same problem. I didn't think that everybody had to have the same problem. But no i know there are others who have similar or same problems.

It seems like you think that my first apple product is the new ipad. That's not the case. Connected to this router - a dlink dir-685 wich do not have a new firmware upgrade. Works fine with, macbook air 13", 2 ipad2, 3 iphone 4, iphone 4s and iphone 3gs, hp elitebook 8730w, sony vaio t3, sony ps3, samsung 46" tv, acer computer, galaxy s2, sony ericsson phone, nokia n900.

I would think the problem lies with the new ipad and not the router. And not all of this equipment is connected at the same time but, but it can be up to 5-6 devices connected.

So it seems that nosolution is found on this thread. I will contact apple.

Sounds like the right thing to do. I hope you get a solution.
