I have my camera connectors and am happy to find the iPad really will import and render RAW files.

Has anyone figured out how to import files from the iPad to Aperture 3.02. It says in the release notes that Aperture 3.02 supports importing photos from the iPad as well as syncing.

If you have the iPad connected to your computer via the sync cable, then open Aperture and click on "Import", the iPad should show up as one of the devices that you can import from. I don't have my iPad yet (waiting for 3G), but this is how it works with my iPhone / iTouch.

Hi, I had opposite prob. In Aperture Prefs, click Import, then "When a camera is opned, connect.... Click Aperture.

When iPad is connected to Mac Aperture should open automatically.

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers,

    Eggers

Aperture won't recognize the iPad that is connected to my iMac. I can synch music and photos from the iMac to the iPad, but even when I have the Aperture Prefs set to "When a camera is opened...", it won't see it.

I know I've done this in the past. There has to be another setting somewhere that is preventing Aperture from seeing the iPad!

Looking forward to some suggestions. Thanks!

    i have the same problem.

if i import photos from my camera to aperture, they sync to my ipad over itunes, no problem.

but if i import photos to my ipad and sync the device with my computer, they don't sync to aperture.

    am i missing something?

(photostream works, but I would like to sync oldschool way over itunes)

    Hi Aderca,

Not sure if this will work, but in iPad Settings/ Photos/ is Photo Stream on or off. If off, turn on & download from i Cloud as mentioned under Photo Stream box.

    Good luck.

    Cheers,

    Ray

    Hi Aderca again,

Was checking my Aperture Settings & noticed in top bar symbol for Photo Stream. It has same info about download from all devices fronm i Cloud. Check if enabled or not again turn "on" ; see if that works.

    Cheers,

    Ray
