DVD's are not "high definition". iDVD can't make HD DVD's.

ok.  Any suggestions or advise?  I have a imovie that looks GREAT but want to make copies for my daughters softball team.  not only that but i also have 800+ 23mega pixel pictures and 200+ "15" second HD movie clips from the season that i was trying to add to the IDVD.  Does Apple have any other software that is better or is there another way to burn this info in the "great quality" that it was taken in?

If the HD video is under about 20 minutes you could make a "data" DVD to store an HD copy of the file.

This data DVD can't be played on a set top DVD player or any other DVD playback appliance but could be copied to a local disk drive for playback via QuickTime Player.

The end user would insert your DVD to mount it on their machine. Once mounted the QuickTime .mov file could be dragged to the user desktop. The file data rate is too high to playback properly directly from the mounted DVD.
