I need to reformat the drive (160GB) in my iPod classic.  My computer is running Windows XP SP3.

Has anyone had success using EaseUS Partition Master (http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm)?  If yes, any details you can share?

I ran the surface test twice.  It gets about 70% done, then starts finding a bunch of bad sectors and eventually locks-up.

Since it looks like the first ~70% of the disk is ok, I'd like to reformat it using just that amount, about 100GB.

EaseUS Partition Master is currently showing no partition.  All of the 160GB is shown as "unallocated".

I believe I can select 100GB than request that it be FAT32 formatted as the Primary partition.

I have the option of selecting a cluster size, any idea what's needed?

FYI.  I tried using Fat32Formatter, but it gave an error message saying the partition had collapsed (probably why Partition Master is saying there currently is no partition).

Anything you've learned that you can share will be greatly appreciated!
