Just bought a new MacMini(my first Apple PC) and when I open mail I get the brief details of mail received but whe I click on the message to read the details I get a "loading" sign but the message is not displayed.
Any help for a Dumbo would be appreciated.
If you double click on it does it open in a new window?
Does the "loading" sign ever go away?
No,when I double click it just opens another window which is blank, and the "loading sign keeps on going but I am not sure if this disappears after some minutes-will check
well since my last post it still says "loading"
But I just noticed that of 16 messages I can open 5 without a problem even though they did not open when I first tried them
Do these eMails have huge attachments? Open Mail's Activity Window, does it show them downloading still?
Highlight that account & under the Mailbox Menu item try Rebuild.
The mails have no large attachments.
Tried a rebuild several times and the last one appeared to work. Will monitor things before I close this discussion.
Just received a bunch of mail and the problem still affects the one account.
Not sure whats going on.
Very strange, do you have any AV or Web filtering apps like Norton installed?
Do the working accounts use a different Port or Authentication than the non-working one?
The receiving email ports are:
IMAP is port 143
IMAP-SSL is port 993
POP is port 110
POP-SSL is port 995
I don't have any filtering apps installed.
As for your other questios I do not know how to get the info but will try to find out and then respond.
Sorry for the delay in responding to your post
