MYOB (Mind Your Own Business), gets the nod by most reviewers as the best Mac accounting software. Look through the comparison chart to see which of the three purchase options best fits your need. First Edge will likely do, but is more expensive than QuickBooks for Mac. On the plus side, it's far better than the Mac version of QuickBooks.
There's also Account Edge at a more reasonable $99.
Intuit (QuickBooks) is huge, but seems to hate Mac users. You pay the same amount for QuickBooks Pro for Mac as Windows users do for the Pro version, but get software that has at least a third less functions.

Uh, no. Try actually reading the page I linked to above. It clearly states $99. Yes, there is more than one Account Edge product and I didn't type "Basic" as part of the text of my link, but it's still correct.

There also may be a confusion issue. There's the AccountEdge I linked to, and there's MYOB's AccountEdge. I don't think they're even owned by the same company, even though the product names are identical.
In the company's version I linked to, their most expensive version is AccountEdge Pro for $299. The network version is the same price.
