Did I do this?

In the corner of my iPad 2, near the earphone jack, the corner isn't fully rounded. There is a flattened part (see photo). I have never dropped it. And haven't banged it. Are others like this? Or is it something I did somehow? I sometimes carry it around in a small pack, but there isn't other junk in the pack to bang against it.

That relates to my next question. See how the white thin plastic thin seal around the display is a bit separated under the jack near that corner? I can push it in, but it doesn't stay in. Is that normal? Does it happen with others too? Is it because I did something to make the corner flattened there even though I have never dropped or banged it?

What say you?

Thanks,

doug

The best case recommendation I can think of that will do what you want is the Targus Versavu 360.  It will provide real protection for your iPad, front and back and it will rotate your iPad 360 degrees for landscape or portrait viewing.  I've had this case on both my iPad 2 and New iPad.

The replacement is a refurb replacement, not a repair.  I'm not certain but I believe that it comes with either the remainder of the original warranty or ninety days, whichever is longer.

The replacement is immediate if you decide to go the "out of warranty replacement" route........

I wonder if these out-of-warranty repair prices are calculated based on whether my iPad is still under warranty or not.

    No.  They're fixed and published.

By the way, I'm glad that you stopped using the super-large bolded font.  It's really annoying to the eyes.

Check it out in the store before you leave to make sure the screen is to your expectations.
