1. Pretty much any make. Some monitors are MUCH better than others. Generally speaking, you get what you pay for. There may be other monitors as good as Apple's 27" models, but I've never seen one better.
2. The Thunderbolt port.

Thanks eww. I'm sure thunderbolt screens are great but they seem to start at around £800. Is there another cheaper option (preferably sub £200)? I only want it to run Logic Pro on so don't need ultimate performance.
Another consideration is that I may want to use the thunderbolt port for a hard drive before too long.

Thx guys. One final question ... which port would I use to connect it? I don't think the MC723 has either a VGA or HDMI port. I think it just has firewire 800, thunderbolt and USB2.
