Apple MusicHi...
Try here > Mac App Store: "An unknown error occurred (100)" when purchasing
If nothing there helped, try deleting the cache associated with the App Store.
Go to Users/your user account/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
Move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.appstore folder to the Trash.
Try the App Store.

Apple MusicWrong path... not the root library, your user library.
Open the Finder.
From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here: ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
(Don't forget the Tilde character. That is what denotes a Home folder)
Then click Go.

Apple MusicOk..
First try deleting the cookies associated with the App Store.
Go to ~/LibraryCookies
Move the com.appstore.plist file from the Cookies folder to the Trash.
Try the App Store.
If that didn't help, install the OS X Lion Update 10.7.4 (Client Combo)
It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.7.4
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed.

May 11, 2012 2:04 AM in response to Carolyn Samitby Christopher-Robin,Thanks for all your help Carolyn. I couldn't do the first part for some reason
"First try deleting the cookies associated with the App Store.
Go to ~/LibraryCookies
Move the com.appstore.plist file from the Cookies folder to the Trash.
Try the App Store."
I went and installed the update and restarted the mac and no longer do I get error 100, I now continually get error 13 and I still can't log out of app store
