I have my Macbook Pro hooked up through the midi cable to my Behringer electric piano and am trying to record onto GarageBand. However, what I play comes out a half step lower in my computer.  I.e. I play C, I get B... etc.

I've googled this but haven't found an answer as of yet. Any help at all as to how to fix the problem are GREATLY appreciated.  It's a wee bit annoying at the moment.

Thanks!

My first thought is you need to check on the settings for your keyboard. 98% sure that's the issue .... GB records the info it gets . No way that I know to play a keyboard in C and AT the same have a different key played with what GB can do.

After you've recorded stuff with midi in GB it's easy to change the key.

    Sorry this wasn't much help.

    Peace & Good Luck
