Q: What RAM for what iMac?

I have an Late 2009 27" iMac, and have received 2x4 GB RAM, 1333 MHz, but I now understand that these can't be used - it must be 1033 MHz, right? Or can it be used, just with no advantage over the 1033 MHz?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.1)

    Here's OWC's offerings for ram for that machine (204-pin PC3-8500 1066 MHz DDR3 SO-DIMM).

Use what is spec'ed for your machine.  Buy only dimms that are specifically for macs, not generic stuff that just happens to have the same specs.  OWC is a reliable place  get ram but there are other sources as well.  Look for sellers with lifetime warrantees.
