Did you get this resolved? I've just experienced something similar. Battery was around 80% when suddenly screen went black. Tried the two finger - home button and power button - reset but nothing. Plugged it into charge but phone comes on and asks me to swipe to activate then shows me the image suggesting I plug into iTunes. As soon as I unplug sceen goes black. When I plug into my iMac phone goes into alternatiing state of showing me the Apple logo and going black.

From what I have read, I would imagine this maybe a hardware fault. This could be something due to the battery which may need replacing. I'd suggest taking your phone into your nearest Apple store, for further guidance from an Apple specialist from the Genius Bar. If you hae run out of Warranty or Apple Care, this can still maybe be resolved which will cost a small fee if it's repairable, or a replacement can be given.
Hope this helps & good luck!
