    Hi

I've got the same problem with my RAW from my GH2 : they are green !

Terminal helps (thanks Snoop Dogg) but Aperture said it uses an old version for raw treatment : I had to retreat each raw and correct the White Balance.

Hi OdysseusL. This line tells LaunchServices to register the sub-bundles inside CoreTypes.  One of those bundles includes the information describing RAW camera file formats.  LaunchServices no longer knows about the RAW file formats until you call lsregister to register these types.  It doesn't repair the symptoms for all users.  Only for the currently logged-in user.  You would need to repeat this command while logged in as the other users to fix it for that user because each user has their own LaunchServices database.

Looks like the post got screwed up.  I'll try again.  Paste this into Terminal and hit return...

There is a white space in LaunchServices.fram ework that you have to remove, then it works

    /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchSe rvices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -R /System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Library

@Snoop Dogg - you are the best!  Thank you!  This works.

BTW, to a previous suggestion, reinstalling the last RAW update didn't work.  But Snoop Dogg's fix works like a charm.

To get the Aperture importer to recognize the RAW files on the SD Card again, I also had to reboot.

It seems the LaunchServices DB is cached somewhere.

I am on a MacBook Air (mid 2011) running Lion 10.7.4 and Aperture 3.2.3 with Digital Camera Raw 3.12.0.  I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 and I shoot RAW.  When I import my photos, I turn on "Auto Enhance" on on my imports into Aperture.  I had the exact same green photo import problem described above.  This fix worked for me to take away the green tint.

However, my recently imported photos are definitely over exposed even after applying the fix described above.  If I right click->remove all adjustments, then the photo finally displays correctly.  Unfortunately, I now have to manually reapply the "Auto Enhance" quick fix before my photo finally displays correctly with the correct exposure.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello Snoop Dogg. I found your advice on a stolen macbook to be helpful, and you sounded like the one who might be able to help me out. If not, no worries.

My macbook pro was stolen last weekend, and unfortunately it was not set up for find my mac. I am not a mac wiz, so understanding the nuances of back to my mac are daunting as well. Here's what I have, the serial number of my stolen macbook pro, and thats about it. I have since changed my password to my email, as well as most of my other accounts, so not sure I can even still find the computer.

Anyhow, if you have time to lend your expertise, I would really appreciate it. I'm obviously desperate, but have already filed a police report.

    thanks

I also had the green tint issue. I went and trashed all the files in the system cache ( /Library/Caches/ ), restarted, repaired permissions, and the problem is gone.

I have a slightly different but related problem: After moving to 10.7.4, my iPhoto program appeared to be recognizing my Pentax K20D photos and Panasonic DMC LX5 photos as RAW (i.e., it labeled them as "RAW" in editing mode), but when I edited the photos, iPhoto rewrote them as much smaller files. I did not notice the problem for a while because the newer iPhoto software doesn't allow viewing of file size information in "edit" mode. When I noticed the problem and tried to revert to an original photo, iPhoto gave me a giant exclamation point rather than a photo. I tried viewing the original file in my finder and discovered that iPhoto had modified it from 11.4 MB to less than 3 MB (or at least, that's what the finder says). After reverting to previous RAW updates and repairing permissions, my unedited photos are now tagged correctly as RAW, but hundreds of the photos I've edited (and, in some cases, even the photos I've only glanced at in "edit" mode) are tagged as JPEGs, and iPhoto won't let me go back to any previous versions; as near as I can tell, any previous versions have been overwritten. Ordinarily, I'd be able to use time machine, but since it's field season (some insects are around for only a week or two, and some amphibians migrate or only emerge at certain temperatures and humidities) I edited the photos as soon as I pulled them off my camera so that I wouldn't fall behind. My time machine has the same corrupted versions.

I've tried reverting to the previous RAW update, downloading the 3.12 update, & repairing permissions. I've tried opening the damaged files in Aperture. No luck. Next step: removing Lion and going back to 10.6.8. Any other suggestions would be welcome.
