And did you answer the question(s)?

If you are making no progress return to the Apps store/iTunes and when the security question aspect comes up again just enter any answer you like (as long as you keep a record of the questions and answers) and proceed from there!

I don't know what to say.  It works for me every time.  If you're close to an Apple Store, make an appointment with the local Genius.  If not, you're going to have to pay Apple for help.  800-275-2273 in the U.S.A. and I think Canada.

There are apparently some folks not having this problem with the security questions. However, I received an email letting me know that my answers to my security questions had been changed. I did not change them and now I cannot get into them to change them to something else. I changed my ID and my email and hopefully that will keep anyone from getting into my account until there is a solution to this problem. Rest assured you are not alone in this. If I get a solution sent to me then I will surely pass the info along.

    I totally agree with you

This whole new security system is the stupidest thing Apple has ever done!

I do not know why nobody from apple gives any attentions to this problem?

Such selly question and answers must be totally removed, sometimes we forget what we had for lunch and they want us to remember these 3 dam questions.

How do you do that. I've tired, and it hasn't happened yet. My daughter did it, and she can't remember it at all. I'm ******, and I would like to know.

    Click on this link https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/,

Click on the Reset your password link.

Click on the Forgot your Apple ID link

Fill in as much detail as possible and take it from there.

Finally, KEEP A RECORD for those who don't KEEP THEM AWAY FROM THE IPAD!

Security questions are here to stay.  This manner of ensuring security has been around for years.  The main issue with the old type of questions (what is your mother's maiden name) were not particularly secure because the correct answers might have been found via a Google search.  Because if this I got into the habit of making up answers.

I have 6 different accounts (that I can remember off the top of my head) that use this as one part of their security.  I never pick the same questions.  Mostly because these accounts are tied to my finances, I.e banking, brokerage, some shopping accounts, etc.  To keep everything straight I use an ewallet.  It has 256-bit encryption and the only thing I have to remember is the password for it.  I have a copy on my iPad, my phone, and my home computer.  Been using an ewallet since 2004 and it has worked very well for me.  If you have a lot of passwords I highly recommend using one and keeping it on at least two devices.

No problem.  Just go to the local Walmart and buy your apps there.

I am not sure how you acheived that. When I go into Password and Security and try to change the questiuons the first thing it asks for is the Security Questions, exectly the thing I forgot and want to change! And now it has locked me oput for 8 hours! Did I miss some thing in the middle there?

As or e-wallets or writing IDs and Passwords down I don't like that solution - if those are compormised then everything is lost.

Apple needs to allow more flexibility in the security questions and allow a reset via email - like they do for the password.

I am just amazed that no one from Apple has chimed in on this conversation. There are obviously quite a few folks that are having the same problem.
