iOS: Troubleshooting backup issues in iTunes
The first backup takes a long time. Subsequent backups are incremental and should take less time unless you have a lot of new information to backup.

Reconnect or try again later' I have reconnected and tried again later do now I don't know what to do

May 13, 2012 3:18 AM in response to lllaassby Ict lover,Unfortunately I cannot do what your link suggests because it requires prefrences to be clicked. I cannot click prefrences as when I do iTunes crashes and doesn't respond.
Any suggestions?

Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP

One more question next to the eject button is another circle with a triangle that contains a ! What is it? I'm sure it's nothing but I just wanted to check as I don't want to click it and my IPod blows up.
