You are looking in the videos app - correct?
If they are not in there - try this ....
Swipe to the right from your first home screen to get to the iPad Spotlight search. Type in the name of any of your movies in the field at the top. If a movie appears in the search - tap on it and it should hopefully start to play. Let it play for a minute or so - hit done - go back to videos app and see if all is OK and if the rest of your movies have appeared.
If they still do not show up - sync them back from iTunes on your computer.

Did you not have copies of them on your computer and/or on a backup, or do File > Transfer Purchases prior to starting the update ? Films (and other media such as music, tv shows and synced photos) are not included in a device's backup, so they wouldn't have been restored. If you don't have a backup of them then if you are in the US then you might be able to re-download some/all of them (not all film studios allow their films to be re-downloaded).

I Will be in the US next week so a quick visit to apple store should be no problem. Thans for your help. Renards Remco

Is your iTunes account based in the US ?

The ability to re-download films (if they are from one of the film studiods that allows it) applies to US based iTunes accounts, not just to being in the US
