Try "resetting" ...
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that didn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Try the App Store.

If the suggested reset does not help, you may need to restore the iPad to the factory settings. After doing so you can restore the iPad to a previous backup or set it up as a new iPad.'09 Mac mini, iPad 2, iPhone 4S, Mac OS X (10.7.3), iOS (5.0.1) Mac fanboi since 1984!

Hey, Your solution worked!!!
i had tried everything, restarting, rebooting and restoring the IPad to factory settings.
But the solution was, as you said, to tap settnings-reset all settnings on the IPad

Thank you for replying! I had tried to reset it to factory settings, but I didn't set it up as a new Ipad, maybe that's why it didn't work.
Turns out that Carolyns answer fixed the problem, but thank you for helping!
