I was not able to login to my Apple ID Account. I tried to recover my password, The "forgot password" gives you the option of using either an email or security question to reset your password. I tried email first, and it didn't come to me, then I tried security question, which asked for my birthday. I entered it, and was told it was not the birthday associated with the account. So I created a new Apple ID using my old Apple ID, the strange thing I was allowed to do that, I was expecting to receive a meesage tellingme that that email was in use. Anyways, the account was created fine but I can't update any of my content on my ipad or iphone.

I am sure some one has hacked my account and changed the Apple ID, the security question, the email, and every thing in the account, and now he/she has my credit card information and I won't be receiving any notifications if he/she uses it.

I had this same issue this morning wheer my Apple ID password was no longer working. Was able to reset my Apple ID password though as nothing else was touched. I had a spam email go out from the email associated with my account the other day, so I am guessing these 2 issues are linked.

its not that someone has hacked your email. I had a customer who has a same exact same situation like this. She had forgotten her Apple ID password, when tried to reset through email she never received email. Then when tried through security question, it says incorrect. We then logged into and sent a mail. She will receive a mail from Apple within 24 hrs.

So you mean to say it took one day for the reset email link to be delivered to your account.?

I had almost this exact same issue.  First I noticed an email that a purchase had been made then an earlier email (3 days earlier) that my account had been changed.

I obviously immediately panicked and checked all accounts that may be connected to this - could not find any charges - but I did use a card that did not have much available.  I tried several times to reset password and ran into same issue as original post - exact same scenario.  I tried forgot password - email option, did not recieve email, tried security ?'s and my b-day didn't match.  I then created new account with same id as original and it worked.  Can't get to any of my previously purchased items.

How can this happen and how to I ensure that the account information originally associated with the first instance of this account has not been compromised.  How can I get access to the purchases I have made over the past year?

This has also happened to me. Like yourself I have attempted to reset via email, security questions, nothing. My account has been compromised and I can find no way of recovering it.i cannot backup my iCloud, purchase or update any applications. This is incredibly frustrating and has gone on for some time now. Is there any way of getting into direct contact with apple to fix this ? All their support functions just have me in circles this point,I have all the details concerning my original information on the account and any apple product serial numbers associated with the account at hand.

    Please help.

I have also the same problem as described in the original post; except that I haven't managed to get my original Apple ID and that I have observed suspicious activity on my bank account. I am not sure if what happened to my bank account yesterday will continue, with larger amount, or not. I am not feeling safe! Please help me get back my old Apple ID which has all my bank info and I do not want to lose everything that I have with that ID.

So, please help me get back my old Apple ID and let me secure my bank ac.

    Thank you in advance!

I recently received an email from Apple stating that the security questions & answers to my Apple ID have been changed. I can still login to my ID using my password. But when I want to change the security answers, it asks me to either verify current answers, or gives another option of sending an email. The email shown isn't mine, and I believe that my account has been hacked.

I recently read an article on yahoo regarding Apple IDs being hacked. Not sure if I am a victim of the same.

Kindly let me know the way around this. Thank you in advance!
